Cutting Heating Bills With Windows

Windows can help you cut your heating bills - not Windows the operating system but the windows that you look out of.

The theory is simple. Most heat loss occurs at the transition between our house and the outside world, and of course one of these boundaries is windows.

This is why insulating our homes cuts our bills and in the process is good for the environment as we require less energy to heat our homes as less escapes outside.

New window technology in the years to come may make our windows ultra efficient at insulating us and stopping the heat transfer, reducing energy bills.

The idea is to use not just double glazed but quadruple glazed windows and these will help reduce heat loss much more than even double glazed windows, thereby being good for our bills and good for the environment too!
